CMS’s Brian Kelly answers your questions about the Work Opportunity Tax Credit.
Today’s WOTC Wednesday question: How Long Does It Take To Receive a Work Opportunity Tax Credit Certification?
CMS Responds: How Long Does It Take To Receive a WOTC Certification? And honestly, this is going to vary by state. There’s some states like Connecticut, which is actually two years behind. Then we get other states like Texas and Florida that actually turn these documents around in a couple of weeks. So it depends upon the state that you’re in. The good news is CMS never stops working, so we’re going to try to obtain that tax credit as soon as we possibly can for you.
